Based on a true story, "Stuey" tells the story of Stu "The Kid" Ungar, a card prodigy who grew up playing high-stakes gin rummy in New York by the time he has fourteen, and running for his life at twenty - escaping to Las Vegas ahead of angry mobsters, forced to leave his life behind. He made good on his debt by winning a gin rummy tournament, then made his name by winning the World Series of Poker(TM) the very first time he played, in 1980. Then he won it again in 1981 - the youngest player ever.
By 1989, he'd lost it all: a victim of the Vegas lifestyle, and his own excesses.
Then, with the help of a great friend, Stuey found the strength to manage his demons and win the ultimate poker prize one more time, sixteen years after his first victory: the 1997 World Series of Poker(TM) championship. But sometimes enlightenment comes too late, and victory has its price.... -- Official Site

As the poster tells us four things about Stuey ("Gambler. Addict. Loser. Legend") it's disappointing that the final film can only fulfill on three of the four.
