DeVito's direction was a bit iffy. The best actors IMO were John C. Reilly and the guy who knocked it out of the park as Bobby Kennedy, which is depressing considering the possibilities.
Absolutely worth the time to watch this classic. If you have ever had an interest in the teamsters or Jimmy Hoffa, I would highly recommend this film.
THE BEST GANGSTA MOVIE EVER, IF YOU HAVE EVER SEEN IT AWESOME AND IF YOU HAVENT I HATE YOU FORM HERE ON OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
a pretty good movie i usually lose my patience at these type of political crap, but when i saw the monster cast, the great names like Jack Nicholson as Jimmy Hoffa and Danny DeVito and Armand Assante, an inspiring movie about the support of the working class, a story and biography of Jimmy Hoffa a great revolutionar a great politician and a people's person.....deffinetly an interesting story!!!
Jack Nicholson is brilliant as always but even his brilliance doesn't discount that this movie is about thirty minutes too long and the payoff at the end just isn't that great. They made up Jimmy Hoffa's death and that takes away from the credibility of the movie. If they made that up what else in the movie did they make up then?? Jack's still the man though!
