A photographer (Shingo Katori) and a gay reporter (Goro Kishitani) are assigned to cover mob violence in the Hong Kong underworld for a Japanese weekly. While trailing a lead, they inadvertently record a gangland slaying perpetrated by the nefarious Black Society. Fleeing for their lives, the reporter hatches a brilliant scheme to dress up his straight photographer colleague as a woman and pose as a honeymoon couple. They flee into a nightclub and somehow end up on-stage flailing through a magic act. Improbably, the ruse works. In fact, their performance is so bad -- the photographer almost drowns in a tank of water during an ill-fated disappearing routine -- that the management mistakes it for comedy and signs them on the spot. Thus the reporter "husband" becomes Touch and his sopping wet "wife" becomes Maggie. Things get complicated when Maggie falls for a comely torch singer (Anita Yuen) while the singer's friend (Stephen Au) falls for Maggie; the singer falls for Touch, while Touch has had the hots for Maggie since they left Japan. At the same time, the erstwhile reporting duo's magic act has attracted the attention of the mob. ~ Jonathan Crow, Rovi
