Not as good as I thought it would be. 5 good actors as well - Brie Larson, Cody Linley, Dean Collins, Logan Lerman and Luke Wilson... but they couldn't make it great anyway. But they definitely made it better than it would've been with another cast. Kind of funny movie, I guess. ...( read more)
No one is going to see this but me, but I will say that it was nice to see a kids movie without any sexual undertones or lousy parents. The problem I had was the lack of time spent on the damn owls.
The movie was pretty good , but I thought some parts were really funny.
Not bad of a film. Focused and interesting to watch. I liked the beginning. It caught my attention with all the trouble Roy was attracting and the barefoot boy being so mysterious.
More of a kids movie than an adults because it is pretty predictable.. but the boys loved it and I thought it was entertaining enough. Nice to see a movie without the gory bits and adult humour, making it perfect watching for the whole family.
A film based on a book that is actually true to the book. Good storyline and film itself.

This followed Carl Hiaasen's favourite plot of evil corporate greed attempting to ruin Florida's oh so beautiful environment. Which it showed a lot. The Everglades helicopter camera team certainly earned their money here.

I thought this was going to be a tree hugger movie, and perhaps it was meant to be. Nevertheless, it had a good message and it did not come across as environmentalism. It actually fits well with Genesis.
