Another of the brilliant Hornblower adaptations starring Ioan Gruffudd. Hornblower is saddled with a mission that is doomed to fail and pays an ultimate price. The incomparable Robert Lindsay does some of his finest work here as Capt. Pellew.

Probably my favorite Horatio. So many dilemmas, so much confusion, so much drama... this episode is so moving! (viewed 19 March 2009)

All of the A&E Hornblower adaptations are excellent. They aren't 100% identical to the books, but they capture the spirit quite well, and the production quality is high. The actors are also brilliant, and portray favorite characters quite well.

Another great Hornblower movie. Absolutely a blast to watch and a great continuity to the first movie.
