I knew deep down that Will Arnett was a Russian vulture, and I'm glad he's showing his true...feathers.

Well, I underestimate this movie before. But when saw it, I really enjoyed this movie, for me a nice movie worth to be watched several times and everywhere you watch it, you'll enjoy it. It really entertaining and funny. Well, although this movie wasn't as good as Kungfu Panda (and maybe wall-e,I haven't watch it yet) but really, it was a nice one. The cast (the voice actor) was perfect for each character Ii guess. The plot was simple because as we know that it was taken from Dr. Seuss's story. The comedy was suited for all ages, and for me, some of the quotes from this movie was a good one.
Well, not much to say, but if you like a kind of movie like these and if you're looking for a nice entertainment, you should see this. Person's a person, no matter how small it is.A good one huh?

A good family movie, but nothing that I think that would make it a classic. Impressive graphic rendering...

This is a movie that definitely set my hopes high for movies this year.

I wasn't disappointed! The producers managed to put in more content than I thought was possible in a movie make of a children's book! A twist of witty humour, sexy elephant dancing (don't ask), and, (believe it or not) anime! No more details. That would just spoil your fun. Go watch it yourself!

And to people yelling out, "The plot was so bland, like an elephant just taking a flower to the tip of a mountain":
Well...It's based on a book for kids. Deal with it!

I normally don't embrace or praise a revamp a version of something previously done, but the 2008 version of the Dr. Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who is quite good compared to the 70's cartoon version. The casting is applaudible. A slight bit better, IMO. Steve Carell fits his role well and Jim Carey is basically spoken for in terms of the talent he offers as Horton the elephant. If this was executed as more 'live-action' like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas or The Cat in the Hat, it would have been an utter flop given the story premise and the characters involved. It was a wonderful movie with its great undertones of diversity praising and tolerence.

Horton Hears a Who! is a delightful adaptation of Dr. Seus's classic book of the same name. It is a stunning testement of how far anamation has come over the past decade. Voiced over by some of the greatest comedians alive today (Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Seth Rogen..etc) it is laughable, heartwarming and tremdendousley entertaining yet all the while it remains true to the original book. A very enjoyable watch fit for the entire family, i was very pleasently suprised.

I may be the only person in the world who enjoyed Ron Howard's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and believed "The Cat in the Hat" with Mike Myers was actually visually delicious, but I can totally understand why do people hate them so much, even if my childhood wasn't full of Dr Seuss' rhymes.

And because of that I fell in love with this movie from the first shot to the last. I can't remember the last time I saw an American animated feature film WITHOUT any single pop-culture reference and that's exactly this movie's charm: the humour (absolutely cute and hilarious) comes from the characters themselves and the situations they face, NEVER from idiotic gags or "contemporary" stupidity. For Jim-Carrey-doing-serious-stuff fans this will be completely delightful: the man does an extraordinary voice work without using his usual gimmicks and avoids being annoying the whole time, while Steve Carell does an extraordinary job as a weird, yet never over-the-top, insecure man with a lovely wife, 96 daughters and an emo son (Ok, that was a pop-culture reference but it's actually really nice), while the whole voice cast does a nice job too, including a surprisingly evil Carol Burnett.

The screenplay and the music score are extraordinary and even if the animation per se isn't THAT good, at the end of the day the movie saves itself from any negative criticism by staying true to its own message without being too corny or cheesy and creating a solid piece of filmmaking. It's not an explosion of dumb humour for the "new millenium" kids but an explosion of truly great talent from the whole cast and crew for intelligent kids who will learn their first steps into political issues and realize how relationships between completely different countries should and shouldn't be made. Yes, "Horton hears a Who!" IS a political metaphore but it is subtle and smart and makes you realize how far animation can go without being raw or "adult" (not that there's anything wrong with mature animation) but staying true to its biggest audience: kids.

    A triumph!

It was actually better than I expected it to be! Good humor ect. For Jim Carrey's first voice-over movie, he did an excellent job! I think he should try more animated movie voices. My hat also goes off to Steve Carrell for his character as well. It was very unexpected that Jesse McCartney played Jojo. I really didn't expect him to have such a high boy-band-type voice.

Interesting imagination. A bit funny. I was expecting more considering Carrey and Carrell are the voice talents.

The plot of this film is one that everyone can imagine in their heads. It is a typical family animated film. I love this film aswell because I think it is absolutely hilarious. My favourite scene of the film has to be the scene when Horton is crossing the bridge. I like this more than both the Ice Age films. There is alot of clever jokes and humour in this film. I knew this film would be good but I didnt think it would be amazing. In the film the characters are very clever. They all have different personalities. The voice cast is brilliant in this film. Jim Carrey and Steve Carell are awesome! In the Whoville land in the spec, the houses, technology and town would be a typical Tim Burton animated film because this is the sort of film that Tim would imagine and use to make a film. But most of all I loved the animated graphics of this film. Which is why I loved Ratatouille and Nightmare Before Christmas.

THIS MOVIE LOOKS SO STUPID. THERE WAS ALREADY A HORTON HEARS A WHO MOVIE THAT WAS TRUE TO THE BOOK, BUT THIS IS JUST AN OUTRAGE. THEY'VE BEEN MAKING NOVELS INTO REALLY TERRIBLE MOVIES BUT I NEVER THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD SINK SO LOW AS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF A CHILDREN'S BOOK!

I liked Jim Carrey in the live action Grinch movie, so I think he is becoming a great match for the spirit, energy, and characters of Dr. Seuss' colorful world. The filmmakers of this movie have a great respect for Dr. Seuss' style of illustrations, for his humor, and for his heart.
