This is by far my favorite comedy of all-time. I saw this like a year ago, and watched it again recently. This deserves every bit of 5 stars! You simply MUST watch this, if you want a stomach ache from laughing so hard.

    One-Sentence Review:

"Hot Fuzz is a comedy, with action melted in with it in a perfect way."

(The action/comedy genre has been explored several times, with some hitting it well, while others miss their mark. Hot Fuzz proves itself as a film that knows what it is doing. The same cast from 2004's Shaun of the Dead once again plays their roles, and all of the characters work together very well, seeing characters you recognize will give an extra laugh to fans of other movies the stars have been in,Pegg and Frost are probably the best British comedy duo around..Easily can stand as a masterful work)

I liked it, but at the same timer felt disappointed. The movie itself can be somewhat boring, and definitely not as funny as Shaun of the Dead. However, the ending is worth it all. Kudos.

Esta divertida y alocada rayando en lo estúpido pero es un muy buen trabajo de edición, la forma de entrelazar todas las escenas es excelente

    Simon Pegg rules!!!!!!!!!

This was so funny but it wasn't as good as i thought it would be. You can tell it was by the same people who did Shaun of the Dead.

Fantastic comedy from the brains behind Shaun of the Dead. Although it lacks the inspired idea of the team's previous offering, this held more appeal for me, and saw Nick Frost step to the forefront

Most people liked SHUAN OF THE DEAD but didn't like this film. I don't understand that they both were great to me.

It's little wonder that my favortie comedies of late are all foreign films. High-larious satire and loving homage rolled into one of the best cop buddy films of all time.

Not as funny as Shaun of the Dead, but overall just as entertaining. Very well written and well acted by most.

    OMG. Love this movie.
Someone may find this film somehow ridiculous (especially the reasons for all the murders), but it's still a great great film.
I quite like this cop: He will never use a gun, until he really has to, and when he actually does, you'd better watch out...
Besides, Hot Fuzz is so hillarious plus the plot is connected so ingeniously and smoothly, sursprsing till the very ending.

A good comedy, a little slow at first but then the action kicks in and it becomes a mad blood bath of crazyness with a happy ending.

When watching the trailer I was unsure what this crime comedy would give me as it looked quite dull and predictable, but I was completely wrong as I sat back and watched a thoroughly entertaining film with a brilliant cast that kept me interested from start to finish.
Simon Pegg's character Nicholas Angel is amazing. His slickness and power are great to watch and the type of dead pan professional personality he upholds for the majority of the film is simply breathtaking and lovable. Juxtaposed with Nick Frost the two are even better and create a great police duo.

A London cop craving action is sent to a English village where he is paired with a less than effective partner. He is a big city cop who is the cities finest in this small village where he discovers some strange events taking place. This movie was to "British" for me and i just didn't get into it.

Theres a scene in the UK sitcom Black Books where the normally dishevelled and misanthropic Dylan Moran emerges from his squalid bedroom in pristine, scrubbed condition and announces ?who shaved me? -it is a moment of pure comedy genius; surreal and subversive and... piss-yourself-laugh-out-loud-funny.
There are no moments like this in Hot Fuzz ?well, maybe one comes close?.But, thats not what HF is about. This is a Simon Pegg film so, in a sense, in doesn?t matter what its about-what you get, is that Nice Simon Pegg doing what he does so well -Being Nice. Simon Pegg represents the kind of person wed all like to know (or to be)?no one does Nice like him -Cast him in any part and our sympathies are with his character. If he?d been in The Shining wed have handed him the fire axe, patted him on the head, and shoo him upstairs to polish of that nasty wife and little kid. Simon Pegg as Darth Vader; wed sympathise with that nasty sore throat.
Nice is what he does, and to wheel out a cliché ?nobody does it better.
HF is in many ways a very reactionary piece of work: harking back to the golden era of Dads Army and Lively Lads or further back to the Ealing comedies. The jokes are mostly telegraphed a reel or two ahead so you can get back from making the tea in time for a chortle, and there?s none of that smutty new-wave comedy to disturbed the middle-England tranquillity of the (apparently) sleepy village of Sandford.
I smiled a lot in this movie -the homo-erotic undertone of the relationship between hopelessly uptight Sergeant Nicholas Angel (Pegg) and big hearted PC Danny Butterman is beautifully played. Theres also a bewildering array of British comedy luminaries to gawk at. As to the plot, well its a load of nonsense about dark goings-on in rural paradise. But then, you?re not watching this for the plot, or for that matter the laughs. Its Simon Pegg?s film, literally as well as figuratively -you?re watching to be reassured that somewhere out there, there really are nice, decent people doing nice, decent things, and, in this area HF delivers in spades.
Watch it, enjoy it & don?t feel guilty about it.
Now that?s got me thinking..how about Simon Peggs as the next James Bond -dont laugh?think about it for a minute.

Brilliant British humor that I can actually understand! The acting is hilarious. the action scenes so cheesy they're great and the gore completely overblown!

    Photobucket

One of the funniest British films of all time. Really graphic film. When the real murderers of the victims were revealed, I was really shocked. When Frank Butterman says SANDFORD IS THE SAFEST VILLAGE IN THE COUNTRY I thought ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! More like THIS IS THE VILLAGE WHERE IF YOU DO ANYTHING WRONG OR DIFFERENT, YOU GET KILLED!! The funniest scene has to be the scene with the fence when Nicholas Angel leaps over like 5 fences. As Danny Butterman was watching, instead of jumping through them he runs through the fences because he is so fat and unfit. It is one of the best films of 2007.

It started off nice and I thought I was gonna like it, but than, as it was going by, it kinda pissed me off. It got dumb and dumber, even tho the funny things were never missing.

    Oh my gosh.
I could go on for days about how much I love this film. But I won't. I'll just say that if you ever see another adult comedy in your lifetime - it NEEDS to be this one.

It's a classic and I can't wait for the next film from this crew.

The second teaming of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with director edgar write again results in a pretty damn funny movie. Not quite a parody of cop films, it's more subtle than that. That is not to say it's not funny as hell. Just like Shaun of the Dead, it's got layers of subtle humor as well as some drop dead funny bits. It's also a must see!
