Set in the title city during the days just prior to the collapse of the Nazi regime, the style of this episodic drama closely parallels that of Grand Hotel. Small wonder as both this and the latter were penned by Vicki Baum. In its heyday, the Hotel Berlin was the posh resting place of the rich and famous.
