This was cute. you felt for the characters (all of them furry friends or even the humans) fun movie. A lot of humor (& it wasn?t lame humor) it was all giggle worthy. The ending is a bit predictable though. ...( read more)A for a watch for ALL ages!

Hotel for Dogs is a movie that tells the story of a two orphan brother and sister with a dog. One day they found a abandoned hotel and decide to transformed it on a shelter for dogs. The movie is good, it has some funny moments and also some dramatic ones. The plot is good yet pr...( read more)edictable and with some flaws. The cast is decent Emma Roberts and Jake T. Austin aren't bad but I think they were a little weak, Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Dillon were very good as a couple, both were very funny and Don Cheadle in a very different role that we have seen him lately more hedaded to comedy than to drama. In conclusion, Hotel for Dogs is a enjoyable and entertaining movie for the whole family and for those who love dogs.

Very cute kids, very cute dogs, it's all pretty standard. There was a brief Entourage cameo, which is always a good thing.

Not terrible, but the director never livens things up or gives any style to anything. The acting is fine, if not perfect, and Don Chealde proves that he adds class to anything he is in (plus he gives the best performance). In a fair world, utter trash with no redeeming qualities ...( read more)(aka Beverly Hills Chihuahua) would have flopped huge, and mildly interesting, if not spectacular, actual family movies would be doing a bit better (this). The biggest problem is that the director has no imagination and while the actors are doing their best at making it all seem plausible, the film fails to engage on a level aside from the acting. There is no style, at all here, which is perhaps worse than not having a style and failing miserably at it, which would have made this movie a total disaster. As is, kids will probably like it a lot, and adults will have a non-headaching 100 minutes of background noise.
