  How many locked in the house with complete stranger's and only one can walk out alive movies are they going to make. That said, this is a very good movie with that subject line. As far as being a copy cat of other movies like saw or saw II, I don't see it that way. 9 people are abducted and put into a sealed house, only one can walk out alive and win 5 million dollars. The 9 people are from all walks of life and it is a little comical at times. If I was playing it wouldn't take 128 minutes to decide the winner. All in all a good weeknight movie to enjoy but not for a group of Scare fest members or not for a Halloween get together. Still it gets 3 1/2 stars.

  A low budget film starring Dennis Hopper and Kelly Brook. A mix of films similar in ways to Cube, My little eye and Saw. Slow to start but quite good towards the end.

  Wonderful cast, good concept, nice ending. Good choice of movie if you are having a boring sunday afternoon

  House on Haunted Hill meets Saw 2 meets Cube with a low budget and forgettable acting. The first hour is slow and all set up before "the payoff" kicks in. Liked the ending so that helped. Not scary, low on gore. If you can, catch this on cable.

  Inevitably similar to its other despair-isolation-reality T.V-themed horror counterparts, House of 9 somehow features neatly better (and stylish) directing, thankfully not-so-over-the-top performances and a truly astonishing ending. But on the other side, if you've already seen its countless derivatives before, there's not much to be found here, and the requisite escape attempts desperately fall flat instead of being nail-biting. All told, House of 9 is a good deal of clever 'stupid' fun that thankfully runs just under 90 minutes. Definitely worth a rental.
