BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!
100%
this is the best film.. ever
Especially the fight bw takeshi and andy at last...
Perhaps the ending has more relation to reality if you're Chinese and have some greater cultural understanding of what's going on. Otherwise as with Hero it is a beautiful landscape holding really vibrant colours with lots of intricate martial arts in front of it. Oh, and a bit o...( read more)
Good twist, visually epic. however amazing parts of fighting were all cgi arrows or daggers flying so not as impressive.
One of Zhang Yimou's greatest. It's sweet, throws in touching themes and has a powerful script. Fight scenes are visually breath taking and well choreographed. This is definitley an amazing work of art.
Action-Packed, Thrilling, had alot of romance and violence and chilling storyliness great movie i never knew when it was going to end :D
More stylized beauty from Yimou Zhang and Ziyi Zhang. More of the same good coreography, and so colorful.
85/100
House of Flying Daggers is a stunning movie, With amazing cinematography, great fight sequences, and 3 of China's finest actors, it delivers enough punches of awesomeness to knock out a rhino. Ziyi Zhang is one of my favourite actresses and this is one of her finest performances,...( read more)
Beautiful to the eye, heartbreaking to the soul, very cool action scenes!
I really enjoyed this movie!
To me it had a little Romeo and Juliet feel to it.
colourful, with breathtaking scenarios and a brilliant first part. but then, it became really boring after the first romantic scenes.
I really love and adore the use of colour in this film and the fight sequences are seemless and effortless, really believable and one to watch!
Well crafted, elegant and engaging, which I have come to expect from Yimou Zhang meticulous film making style.
great view, great action, awesome choreography, another great job by takeshi kaneshiro..need to see this one again!
It plays out like old Chinese folklore. The story is beautiful, but ultimately legendary.
this as a beautiful film in typical artsy wuxia fashion--elaborate, colorful costumes and sets; splendidly-choreographed fight sequences and acrobatics; skillful cinematography and editing. the film ends as a magnificent romantic tragedy. great acting and writing throughout and...( read more)
Um dos filmes mais bonitos que já vi na minha vida, uma triste história de amor. Trilha sonora de tirar o fôlego, fotografia magnífica, tudo perfeito.
A flying sharp fatal weapon like knife in slow motion are awesome... this movie amaze me for the climax of their fighting scene... so furious, so great, & so amusing...
Beautiful images and costumes. A story of love and love unrequited. I really, really like Takeshi Kaneshiro.
A romantic police captain breaks a beautiful member of a rebel group out of prison to help her rejoin her fellows, but things are not what they seem.
this was an amazing movie; perfect actors and actresses, an exciting story line, elegance in every corner, and a love that will scar everyone. takeshi kaneshiro and ziyi zhang have perfect chemistry. i loved this movie so much.
I liked it !! So much. Even though the ending was disappointing, it was a lovely action and love story to me.
better than crouching tiger in my opinion, the story is intriguing and the action is breathtakingly beautiful. Okay its extremly far fetched and more a piece of art than a film but its enjoyable for the niche market that wants it. Slightly predictable enigmas and the usual random...( read more)
Yet another Chinese love story- I tend to hate love stories unless they involve lots of martial arts and elaborate costumes. The political subtext helps as well. One visual treat after another, and Takeshi Kaneshiro is the coolest of the cool.
I use to watch Kung Fu theater with my sister quite religiously when we kids...Love the martial arts and this movie was very good.
