Gotta say, I kinda liked it. I mean, yes I hated most everyone on the cast, but the wax house was really neat. Maybe it's because I played with melting candles so much as a kid, but watching the house melt at the end made me giggle with glee.

Ok, yes, it is probably one of the worst horror movies out there but listen up people: Paris Hilton is not the worst thing ever. She's not even mildly annoying in this movie. I didn't care for her at all.
You know what's the worst part of this piece of junk? The screenplay. It ...( read more) -

The only thing more scary than the murderer was Paris Hilton's acting skills.

Pretty good science fiction concept. Pretty good creepy movie too. Annoying characters, but that sort of takes care of itself before long. Four stars for being worthwhile, minus half a star because this isn't seriously a four-star movie.

Critic Reviews
A mundane slasher flick populated by blandly pretty people who look really good in sweaty tank tops. full review
It's nowhere near as punishing as Rob Zombie's House of 1,000 Corpses, but it's increasingly tense and resourceful and, in the end, it gets the sick job done. full review
The debut feature from director Jaume Collet-Serra does two things rare in the horror genre: It takes its time and it actually gets better as it goes along. full review
"House of Wax" is a classic, of a kind ... It plays its alarming carnage straight, and it's very scary. full review
House of Wax is not a good movie but it is an efficient one, and will deliver most of what anyone attending House of Wax could reasonably expect, assuming it would be unreasonable to expect very much. full review
The set design is fairly elaborate by the standards of the genre, and the victims don't die in precisely the order you might expect, but everything else goes pretty much according to formula. full review
Hilton runs the gamut of emotions from A to A-minus, and the others look desperate to forget that this dazzlingly dumb debacle will be on their resumes. full review

December 1, 2008Many thinks that Paris Hilton should die in this movie, well I guess, not a good idea neither a bad one, she may be viewed as a socialite gurl, but well if that's the movie tells us, then let it be... Hey her acting (Paris) is also a bit good... if not all audiences would appreciate that...
overall a quality suspense and horror movie... -

March 12, 2008I thought this would be too scary to watch, but I found it was an awesome movie! I felt bad for Vincent, being bullied by his brother :(
