A road trip to the biggest college football championship of the year takes a turn for the worse for Carly, Paige and their friends decide to camp out for the night before heading to the game. A confro...( read more  read more... )ntation with a mysterious trucker at the camp site leaves everyone unsettled, and Carly has her hands full trying to keep the peace between her boyfriend Wade and her hot-headed brother Nick. They wake up the next morning to find that their car has been deliberately tampered with, leaving them with no transportation. At the risk of being stranded, they accept a local's invitation for a ride into Ambrose, the only town for miles. Once there, they are drawn to Ambrose's main attraction -- Trudy's House of Wax, which is filled with remarkably life-like wax sculptures. But, as they soon discover, there is a shocking reason that the exhibits look so real. As the friends uncover the town's dark secrets, they are stalked by a demented killer and find themselves in a bloody battle for survival. The group must find a way out of Ambrose -- or become permanent additions to the House of Wax.

    Gotta say, I kinda liked it. I mean, yes I hated most everyone on the cast, but the wax house was really neat. Maybe it's because I played with melting candles so much as a kid, but watching the house melt at the end made me giggle with glee.

    Ok, yes, it is probably one of the worst horror movies out there but listen up people: Paris Hilton is not the worst thing ever. She's not even mildly annoying in this movie. I didn't care for her at all.

It ...( read more)is written using the pubic hair of a Tijuana whore dipped in ink and then brushed all over a piece of paper previously used to whip somebody's butt after a night of eating at Chili's with some spicy Margaritas mixed with burbonic acid and the water from a mexican river.

    Yep, it is THAT poorly written. And THAT's the annoying part.

    Paris? She looks kind of hot.

    A group of young college kids take a road trip to one of the biggest college football games of the year. Now the students must flee for their lives or become a permanent fixture in museum known as the House of Wax.
    House of Wax is a remake of a 1950?s classic of the same name starring legendary horror screen master Vincent Price. Many people detest remakes and shutter at the hearing that a movie is being remade. The anger flies around that Hollywood is out of ideas and honestly they may, but the remakes are just another version of the story being told. With that being said, the updated version of House of Wax does do some good on screen. The visuals and set design are solid additions. The acting is average at best; Paris Hilton does what she does best. Hilton dawns her panties for the audience as she does in other movies that she has been and becomes a character you root for death for. The movie is a horror film at the simplest form and people seem to forget that when they view the movie. They are expecting an enthralling story like The Shinning and acting like the Godfather. This movie has neither. On the level playing field this movie is a slasher film and does that portrayal well. House of Wax is dumb and fun, but receives three and half wax sculptures out of five.

    Definitely a bad movie, but it's still enjoyable. It is nothing but up and coming WB stars and Elisha Cuthbert, but it's surprisingly not the acting that is the stinker of the movie (BTW, Huge Chad Michael Murray & Jared Padalecki fan). The story is just such a knock off idea and...( read more) nowhere close to being a remake.

    It was hilarious to see Paris! BAHAHAHAH. Chad is mad hot! Storyline? Boring.

    Ok, I hate to say it, it freaked me out just a little, though it was worth it just to see Paris Hilton get a pole jammed through her skull, I kinda liked it.

    I don't know what it is about this film that I love so much, but I can watch it over and over and never tire of it. maybe it's the fact that I can rewind a certain scene over and over and watch an incredibly annoying celebutante get a pole rammed through her face. maybe it's the oh-so yummy Chad Michael Murray and Jared Padalecki. or maybe it's just because I love a good cheesy horror flick. whatever it is, I can't seem to get enough of it.
