    Much of the scene where Andie crashes Ben's "boy's night" was improvised. Kate Hudson had the idea to toss the platter of veggies at the guys seated at the poker table. Donald Petrie, the director, knew she was going to do this, the actors in the scene were truly surprised.

    It's hard for me to dislike a film that has the beautiful Kate Hudson. I believe if this film had two different actors, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. Matthew McConaughey has some great chemistry with Kate Hudson. I found the many different faces McConaughey made wh...( read more)ile Hudson led him through their "fake" relationship very amusing. Adam Goldberg and Thomas Lennon's, McConaughey's fellow co-workers, random remarks about their relationship was equal laughs as well. The way the three of them played off eachother and worked together, especially the whole searching through Hudson's purse, was great.

    What I didn't understand was why they took their "fake" relationship, the finding out of it, so seriously. Obviously they were in love with eachother, but both of them were partners in the ending of it. Maybe it's me, but there are worse things to happen that can end a relationship. They could of talked to eachother and said, "You screwed me over and I screwed you over, can we go straight to laughing at this?" That's if you really think about it. There was no cheating or abuse in any of it. At least the ending wasn't full with all these "you did this to me" remarks. It was handled in a feel good way and proves Hudson and McConaughey do belong together.
