I really liked it. Dina was a "psychologically complex" character and Maria Bonnevie played her brilliantly! It wasnt outright horror but the events in the movie and the way theyre portrayed do creep you out. I'm glad I saw it and I'd recommend it to friends.

Quel jeu époustouflant de Maria Bonnevie qui incarne cette Dina torturée et passionnée. Une femme qui ne vaut pas aimer par peur d'être abandonnée mais qui n'a pourtant peur de rien... Fabuleux combat intérieur.Grandiose!

Either a story about an eccentric, but strong, independent woman with intimacy and trust issues, or a story about a psycho bitch, depending upon your point of view. A very good movie, either way...

Simply a masterpiece! Very intense, in this cold beauty, magnificent scenery, and some incredible savageness. Depardieu is good in this role, but Maria Bonnevie takes all the place, and she's stunning in this role.

A very good looking small Norwegian drama about a woman's struggle. Bonnevie is very convincing and even the child playing young Dina is good.
