He's studying literature in Bergen, and writing an article about the great writer Marcel Proust for a newspaper. Jarle has a great life, a girlfriend, alot of friends whom he party with occasionally. Things couldn't have been any better for Jarle. But one day he gets a letter from a woman who tells him he has a nine year old daughter and that she's gonna live with him for a week. This turns Jarle's live up side down, but it's also something that will effect his life for ever.
