Writer-director Yeo In-gwang's debut film, Ice Bar (AKA Ice Keh-Ki) is a sweet, gentle, family-oriented coming of age tale set in 1960s Korea. Park Ji Bin stars as Young Rae, a ten-year-old boy living in the countryside with his single mother (Shin Ae Ra). At school, Rae suffers as the brunt of his classmates' jokes; they tease him relentlessly about his lack of a father. Rae presumes the father dead, but discovers - fortuitously - that his dad is actually still alive and living in Seoul. Eager to pay the train fare to go and visit, Rae must first raise the money, and devises a play to sell popsicle-like 'Ice Bars' to do so. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
