In the course of his subsequent adventures, Nero falls in love with Amy (Ada Biaghini), a high-born lady captured during a pirate raid. But when Amy turns out to be the daughter of the evil provincial governor (Nero Bernardi) responsible for her brother's death, he ends their relationship in an astonishingly brutal manner.
