Solid film noir, boosted immensely by Edward G. Robinson's excellent performance. Fine supporting cast, well written. Good pace and it's not overlong.

Tidy little B with Edward G giving his usual stellar performance, everyone else is good but can't match him. Jayne Mansfield has a small but showy part and looks like a million.

Top flight performance from Robinson with some unforgettable scenes. The screenplay and acting from the other cast members wasn't up to his performance. He's fantastic in it, and I'd recommend it just for him.
