Plot: After being unexpectedly dumped by her dream boyfriend, Lucy (Monica Potter, Along Came a Spider) wants to hide away in her apartment--but her friends set her up with a series of blind dates:...( read more read more... ) a shy entomologist (John Hannah, Sliding Doors), a sensual playwright (Gael Garcia Bernal, Y Tu Mamá También), a hunky doctor (David Boreanaz, Angel), a self-centered baseball player (Anthony LaPaglia, Lantana), and a bickering businessman (Henry Thomas, All the Pretty Horses). We know she ends up marrying one of these five guys; trying to figure out which one, as the dates unfold in flashbacks, makes the movie engaging--up to a point. The script loses focus and Potter, though pretty, is too bland to sustain interest (though it should be said that she shows more flair in I'm with Lucy than in her previous romantic comedy efforts, such as the laughably bad Head Over Heels). --Bret Fetzer

A journalist Lucy (Monica Potter) breaks up with her 'perfect' boyfriend named Peter (Craig Bierko) & goes on the blind dates in 1 year, with 5 handsome bachelors: 1. an entomologist Doug (John Hannah), 2. a playwright Gabriel (Gael Garcia Bernal), 3. an ex-baseball player Bobby Staley (Anthony LaPaglia), 4. a computer store owner Barry (Henry Thomas), & 5. a doctor Luke (David Boreanaz) but only 1 of them is "Mr. Right" is Barry.

I only enjoyed this movie because I think Monica Potter is adorable. Unfortunately that is the only reason I enjoyed this movie. It was kind of cute, but mostly not worth watching.

A fantastic movie! Absolutely adore it. Great love-comedy about a woman who has one misfortunate blind date right after another, in some cases- disastrous! She finds certain things wrong in each of the guys, although her emotions are pretty shifty after being dumped by her dream guy. She tries to find subtlety in any situation. But, when she does, she just isn't sure.

Great music! Absolutely love Ivy and Zero 7!!! A devoted fan. ^__^

This movie I don't think was greatly advertised. It is an okay movie for when nothing better to watch. Cute storyline, but kind of drags in some areas.

I think Monica Potter reminds me a bit of Julia Roberts in this movie. Basically she is dumped by who she believes is the "one" so her friends set her up on five blind dates & she ends up with one of them.

I was very happy with the ending, cus she ends up with who I thought was the best match out of them, although all five of them did have things I liked about them.

Sure it's a chick flick but it's better than you think it will be. Besides it's got Gael Garcia Bernal in it.

The movie was pretty average and predictable. But it was interesting to see who she actually got with. A little slutty but ya get that these days. Although I hated the way they made Gael Garcia Bernal very promiscuous because in actuality he's am extremely talented actor who could have offered a far better performance but oh well that wasn't the point of the movie.

It was also a lot of fun because there were some pretty awkward events that both men and women could relate to. And gosh Monica Potter looks, sounds and acts just like Julia Roberts. A little creepy yeh? But hey definitly watch this movie because its interesting.

Monica Potter sounds exactly and looks a lot like Julia Roberts. Not surprising her films are similar too. This one is a great example of what casual dating is really like. I love this film.

Not awful but not brilliant. Monica Potter is one hell of a lucky woman though, theres not one I'd refuse.
