An unconventional but touching love story. Started watching it with no interest but got involved with the characters throughout the movie. Perabo and Headey make it work on screen, they create this atmosphere where you feel only love, not caring if they're the same sex or not. Makes you feel like it's a real story.
Trite dialogue with obvious and hokey contrivances this is a boring, light and fluffy film with little drama or reason to watch. Boo hoo middle-class drama without the drama. Piper Perabo does well with her English accent, Lena Headey looks good as usual but they fail in this mediocre film.
Definately a rom com. The husband's dialogue had to have been written by a female cause I could never imagine any man to actually speak like that. If it wasn't for the banter between the parent's, I don't think I would have enjoyed this at all.
This movie is "alright", in my personal opinion. It has a very nice scene involving a traffic jam and yelling that was rather sweet, but overall, eh... *shrug* It doesn't feel like there was either enough humor or romance.
I mostly didn't like any of the characters in the movie except the groom who I felt genuinely sorry for. Any movie with Giles in it however, gets instant stars.

What I love about this movie is that it's truly a love story. It's not a big scandalous love affair, it's what happens when you meet the person you're truly meant to be with, your soulmate, and the heartbreak it can bring. I love that they made Heck's character human. He had his flaws but he was very in love with Rachel and wanted her happiness above all. Overall, I could talk about this movie for hours, but I won't. I'll just say it's beautiful, it touches your haert, and it's a truly universal story.
I thought this was a really cute movie. Their chemistry was great and Luce was just beautiful. "I dare you to love me." It was too easy to!
how can you be surprised by the content if you ever looked at the movie poster for more than, say, 10 seconds?
