Within the first ten minutes of this movie, I was taken aback by how sloppy it was. The screenplay is laughably awful, both in terms of its wooden dialogue and demented plot development. Director Po Chih Leong stages all of his scenes in the most awkward way imaginable, forcing his actors to play out ridiculous material with straight faces. Jude Law is a very talented actor, and I love the idea of him playing a character like this. However, any shred of a decent performance is bogged down in the overall stupidity of the film and the absurd direction by Leong. This is a really, really bad film.
