But, as Indy and Mutt set out for the most remote corners of Peru--a land of ancient tombs, forgotten explorers and a rumored city of gold--they quickly realize they are not alone in their search. Soviet agents are also hot on the trail of the Crystal Skull. Chief among them is icy cold, devastatingly beautiful Irina Spalko, whose elite military unit is scouring the globe for the eerie Crystal Skull, which they believe can help the Soviets dominate the world--if they can unlock its secrets. Indy and Mutt must find a way to evade the ruthless Soviets, follow an impenetrable trail of mystery, grapple with enemies and friends of questionable motives, and, above all, stop the powerful Crystal Skull from falling into the deadliest of hands.

The best "Indiana Jones" adventure in years! Fun, exciting, exhilarating, funny, & overall entertaining! Welcome back, Indy!

I finally got to see this on one of the movie channels we get thru our cable package. Some typical Indy scenes, some physical impossibilities (those giant ants for one, and the way they behaved), and some good FX. But this last installation didn't make that big an impact on me....( read more) Because a week later, I couldn't remember the movie I'd watched (that being the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).

Right. Where do I start. Well, Shia LaBeouf was not half as annoying as I thought he would be but his Tarzan antics nearly made me throw my pop corn at the screen, as much of the film did. It all started so well too! It?s the 1950's and Indy is still getting into trouble and as t...( read more)he theme tune blared out of the speakers I felt like a 12 year old again. The object cameo of the Ark was a nice touch and the tribute to the late, great Denholm Elliott in the form of a rather nice portrait was great too......and then the sentiment was smashed to pieces with a statue of him being beheaded. It all goes downhill from here. Mr. Lucas and Mr. Spielberg are a couple of old men who got lucky early in their careers but neither of them seem to be able to better their younger selves, reverting to recycling their already, tired portfolio of ideas. None of the actors did a particularly amazing job and although the special effects are the best I?ve seen, ultimately they were part of a ridicules, preposterous and just damn stupid story! STOP KILLING OUR CHILDHOOD FAVOURITES HOLLYWOOD, YOU BASTARD!!!!!

First off, classic Indy. Entertaining to watch, yet their are many holes in the story and many questions left unanswered. It hardly explains the point of the storyline, the aliens. But yet, it is a good movie for raw entertainment and I enjoyed it as such.

Functional sequel lacking the Indy magic. Ford looks bored and shows none of the charm and wit which distinguished the series. It sticks closely to the winning formula other than this (vehicle chases etc) but is derailed by Lucas' ludicrous alien skull plot device. LaBeouf has po...( read more)tential as a replacement though.

We waited 20 years for this?! For some reason, even numbers aren't good for this franchise. More X-Files than the Indy that we all know and love...

a little bit of childish and commercial but in the end it was quite interesting
