Shortly after Ray's (writer/director Neale Donald Walsch) business fails as a result of his unprincipled tactics, the weary grandfather is entrusted with the safety of his ten-year-old granddaughter, Grace (Meghan McCandless). Though Ray is at first somewhat apprehensive about his new charge, the discovery that Grace's father has grown increasingly unstable leaves the devoted grandfather no choice but to help offer his young granddaughter the love and stability that her mother and father cannot.
