    This was kind of a instering story on the movie Deep Throat. I might not ever watch it again, but it was good to at least see once.

    What started out well could have ended so much better...with all the research material out there about the original you'd expect more....my advice....go watch deep throat

    An interesting and entertaining documentary. It still boggles my mind there are so many people with such closed minded thinking and irrational decison making running this country. I'm always shocked when people strike out against something that is OPTIONAL to watch. The power is ...( read more)in your hands whether or not you watch porn.

    An interesting look into a time where for a small moment it looked like Porn was going to get mainstream acceptance. If you have seen the actual film you will know it's pretty shit - although I think every male thanks god for linda lovelace, without her deepthroat probably wouldn...( read more)'t have gained popularity for another 10, 15 years or so. It was interesting to see how much of a storm the movie kicked up and the fact that it grossed over $600 million US - making it the most profitable (a budget of $25000) film ever made. Although as far as documentaries go it's nothing special. If you are interested in the subject matter than worth a watch.

    This documentary, financed in part by HBO, chronicles the sordid history of porn's most famous breakout hit. With much of the film revolving around the culture and climate of the 1970s, directors Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato explain why the controversial movie was embraced by...( read more) the American public, yet so terrified the establishment that it was banned in nearly two dozen states. Also discussed in great (and intriguing) detail are the film's supposed ties to the Mob, the disastrous effect the movie's success had on its stars, and the way in which the whole ordeal ushered in a new (albeit brief) age of "porn chic." However, despite the lurid and interesting subject matter, Inside Deep Throat often plays out as though its mind is elsewhere; the overall endeavor feels forced and unfocused, and although undeniably interesting in many spots, the film lacks the sense of cohesion found in a truly gripping documentary. Possibly worth a look if you're interested in the subject matter, but hardly indispensable viewing.
