Donnie doesn't talk to his mother, and his father died years ago. He's been on his own for as long as he can remember, but now as Donnie struggles to get back on his feet things quickly take a turn for the worst. In order to pull through Donnie will have to seek out the aid of Mulberry Street café owner Gigetto, but Gigetto's problems with the Russian mob have rendered him incapable of focusing on anyone except for himself. As the tensions start to mount, it becomes apparent that there's no simple solution to Donnie's desperate dilemma. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Critic Reviews
-
Ed Gonzalez, Village Voice
This unwieldy Manhattan murder mystery with lame-brained aspirations to meta-ness boasts the plot of a dozen Abel Ferrara movies and the style and gravitas of none.
-
Ken Fox, TV Guide's Movie Guide
There are eight million stories in the naked city, and first-time feature filmmaker Jerry Schram tries to cram half of them into this dark ensemble drama about the price of success.
-
Nick Schager, Slant Magazine
Insidious baffles from the get-go, but the truly impressive feat pulled off by Jerry Schram's directorial debut is that it manages to become exponentially more incomprehensible as it progresses.
