John Stockwell's direction has always been nothing short of stunning. His composition and use of light against tinted lenses are stunning and always beautiful. It's a shame then that all his film are shite due to crap storylines and awful scripts. Into the Blue is an exception. T...( read more)he acting isn't great an neither is the script but the storyline is solid and this is an underrated and entertaining movie!

One day, Jared and Sam are paid a visit by Bryce Dunn (Scott Caan), a childhood friend of Sam's who is now doing very well as a lawyer. Bryce and his girlfriend, Amanda (Ashley Scott), have come to the Bahamas for a few days of diving and fun, and Sam and Jared show them the waters while making use of his yacht. While diving with Sam, Bryce, and Amanda, Jared discovers the wreckage of a plane used to smuggle drugs, and thinks he may have found the big score he's always dreamed of. Into the Blue took the premise of 1977's "The Deep", and put a spin on the story. By spin, I mean they made a crappy remake with only Jessica Alba as redemption. Paul Walker delivered his lines way too zealously, and his "angry" moments were received with a humorous response, probably not intended by the screenwriter/director. Jessica Alba did well with what lines she had, but was underutilized throughout the movie. They basically reduced her to eye candy and gave her no responsibility. The movie had elements of potential, being the great underwater photography, and apparently large budget, but the script and delivery was lacking. The pacing was also irritating. I found myself confused as to why the characters were doing what they did, but hey, who am I to critique Alba. The bottom line is this; this is a movie, not a film. Buy a 6-pack good beer, and watch it not expecting much, or better yet, go watch "The Deep".

A rather undecided film. It wants to be a thriller, action movie, treasure hunt and doesn't really succeed in any of those genres over the full length. Sure, it shows some nicely formed bodies of both sexes swimming in beautiful waters and all that's really nicely filmed, but is ...( read more)that enough to keep an audience not infatuated with the actors watching? The plot jumps back and forth between those different attempts, the humor isn't exactly very funny and there isn't much action to talk about up until the decent showdown. The movie isn't boring either. It just simply isn't much to write home about, despite of all the beauty.

Jessica Alba and Paul Walker, i admit that they're a good actors in it. They just perfect. Well, maybe it made me a lilttle bit not so comfortable becuz the actions scenes is less.
I still love it. Not that bad :)

this kewl action flick,is about a desperate group of criminals, who track down some divers, who while diving, discovered a sunken cargo plane, loaded with narcotics.

This has never been done before, and that's why I liked it. The cast was good. Jessica Alba in a bikini - What more could you ask for? I guess the actings not terrible, but it's not anything of great deal. The problem is the dialogue. It causes the actors to fail in some scenes. ...( read more)Scott Caan was really good in this, he was funny. The story's good. Like I said, it's never been done before - it's so original. The finale's is really awesome. Some of the shots of the ocean are really pro, they look more like they are from a documentary about sea creaturs, they were just amazing shots.
This is a decent action film, but the dialogue and acting isn't tip notch, but it's fair enough. I didn't like the start of it, I loved the end. I'd say this is a fair movie to watch.
