Very solid super-hero movie. Does a better job of legitimizing outlandish crazy, comic-book ideas than those comic movies that came before it by focusing on the movie-making, which is slick and seamless. Without any clear weak link in the cast, the characterization comes together believably and is handled with surprising dimension. Downey Jr. sells the whole package with giddy charm, humour and grace.

MCT:May 13, 2008GREAT MOVIE!!! Robert Downey Jr. was amazing as Iron Man although, much like many other movies this summer it takes a while to really pick up and get going. I also was a bit disappointed in the ending because it seems to set up for a sequel and I am not real sure how I feel about that.

MCT:May 13, 2008Three stars because it seems to be a combination of Spiderman and Batman Begins kind of story. Throw in Collateral Damage and the story is complete!! Entertaining but not incredibly memorable or new for that matter!!! Perhaps Robert Downey just didn't do it for me in this movie ?

I new they would make an Iron Man Marvel Movie. This movie is the best, I say its the best movie I have seen in a good old while. I think Robert Downey played is role excellent probably thats why the movie went so well. I recommend this to anyone... :) There will be a Iron Man 2 around cinemas before long :D

I'm not being smug or nasty, but did anyone else think the casting of Nick Fury was an extremely poor choise probably only done because of that actor's popularity, and NOT how well he suited the role?

There are already talks of a sequel that'll be in the works and released in 2010 - according to IGN.com
The idea of a sequel is good but it will only work if they keep the pace that they did with this one and get the original cast back.posted 7 days ago -
this was a really really good movie. I like how there was an actual storyline. At the end, they will probably make another movie, but yet if they don't want to, it was a good enough money. BRILLIANT!!

cool movie...and with the post-creidts scene plus Tony Stark guest appearing in Incredible Hulk, the sequels would definitely be interesting and huge in size!
