It Burns When I Laugh
A filmmaker documents the ups and downs of life on the comedy club circuit in this semiautobiographical work from writer-director Ian Harris. Cheryl (Hope Royaltey) is making a documentary on stand-up comedy, using as her subjects Rich (Chris Valenti), a likable comic with potential, and Sean (Harris), the antithesis of Rich. They share their views on their chosen career as they cope with drunken fans and an odd array of comedy club personnel.
