deserving of its sweep of the big 5 oscars, this is one of the first and still one of the best great romantic comedies. the hitch-hiking scene was perfect and the acting and screenplay especially stand out. truly great piece of cinematic history.

Absolutely deserving of the Oscar Sweep, this enthralling black-and-white film kept me entertained and intruiged throughout the whole of it. Clark Gable is the perfect actor for this part, and he played it so well I almost forgot it was a movie. Claudette Colbert was a great actr...( read more)
