Well, it's no CHRISTMAS STORY, but if you don't make that impossible comparison, it's not a bad movie on its own. And Grodin does a pretty impressive McGavin, by the way.

As a sequel of sorts to "A Christmas Story," this movie falls short of its predecessor. It's still an entertaining family film with some great moments.
The characters were not at all like they were in the supposed prequel- A Christmas Story- but it was cute.
