Critic Reviews

  • Dennis Schwartz, Ozus' World Movie Reviews

A "My Friend Irma" type of dumb blonde comedy, that is expertly performed by Judy Holliday.

  • Michael E. Grost, Classic Film and Television

Delicious comedy - and beautiful time capsule of New York City and early television.

  • Steve Crum, Video-Reviewmaster.com

Early Jack Lemmon comedy with real star power by Judy Holliday.

  • Lori Hoffman, Atlantic City Weekly

Judy & Jack are fabulous together

  • Emanuel Levy, EmanuelLevy.Com

Starring Judy Holliday, George Cukor's charming 1954 comedy may be Hollywood's first satire about the hunger for celebrity by ordinary people and the increasing power of advertising.

Brilliantly directed by Cukor, and brilliantly acted by the great cast. This movie is hilarious, and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it.

Lovely comedy with some sharp observations. Judy is radiant and Jack's debut performance is a gem.
