Norwegian-made gangster pic "Izzat," which is populated mostly with characters of Pakistani descent, tries valiantly to make the 'hoods of Oslo look as hard and mean as the streets of South Central Los Angeles or Mumbai, but fails to convince. It doesn't help that the chief protagonist, for all his tough talk, is basically a nice Muslim boy who lives at home and drives his family to the mosque.
