Jason X Reviews and Ratings

"Jasdon X" is a reboot, but not very good reboot of the "Friday the Thirteen series!"
  • November 18, 2009
This movie was completely out of its mind and hilarious. Whoever thought of a cyborg Jason in the future? It's so campy it's good. You can't help but watch Jason gloriously hack up future punks and sluts.
  • October 22, 2009
This has to be 1 of the worst horror films of all time
  • October 12, 2009
Jason had some nice kills and its Jason gotta enjoy right
  • September 29, 2009
Pretty fun movie to watch, I guess I would give it three stars! I probably wouldn't watch again though. Loved David Cronenberg's bit part in the beginning of the movie, hilarious! Of course the movie was predictable, but the characters were good, especially Lexa Doig as Rowan ...( read more)and Lisa Ryder as the android Kay-Em.

Too over the top, even for a Jason movie. But at least it was Kane Hodder. This guy rules.
  • September 28, 2009
I guess the only way is up! ..and into the future. It?s one way of continuing the franchise anyway. Not a bad film but I didn't like the cyborg Jason at the end much. Still, they can always do prequels to this film before he was frozen. How about a film about how they tried to ki...( read more)ll him? A bit more original than the upcoming remake by Marcus 'I haven't an original bone in my body' Nispel!

this is my first time i saw this jason voorhees in the big-screen in theater(yeah finally). kane hodder back again performed as jason voorhees again. jason(later on he made new-look). they should called it "jason goes to space".
  • August 23, 2009
It's the future, you should have a backup plan for a cyborg Jason on your spaceship.
  • August 10, 2009
What the fuck were they thinking when they made this?
I mean, could you get a more hack plot?
"HEY, let's send Jason to the future! He looks a little bland, let's make him a robot!"
    Another cliche shit horror movie.
Jason kills people, we get it.

  • June 30, 2009
crappy sequel that i traded for a limp bizkit c.d. in middled school
  • June 26, 2009
So bad yet hilarious that made me like it in some sick way.
  • June 23, 2009
second worste jason movie. The murders were decent but it was over the top cheese. I heard it was suppose to be part comedy....? why they would do that to a jason movie i dont know. Anyways still a fan of the series if you stop at number 8.
  • June 18, 2009
    In space really people...
  • June 15, 2009
Definitely embraces the "exploitation" pattern of horror films.
  • June 13, 2009
its not as good as the others. but it certainly has its slasherness? Its great though
  • June 7, 2009
One of the most ridiculous movies of all time. =)))
  • May 27, 2009
Cronenbeg how could you?!?! HOW COULD YOU?!?!?!!!? Shame on you!!!. "Eastern Promises"?... OK, I forgive you. -By the way this is a piece of crap.
  • May 24, 2009
People take this movie entierly too seriously. Those who complain about the sheer absurdity of it must've missed Fridays 2 through 9. I believe this movie never intended to be taken seriously, even umongst the diehard fans. Think about it. It's Jason...in SPAAAAAACE! No more fant...( read more)astic than Snakes on a Plane or Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and I loved those movies. Yet, even based on the merits of a "horromedy", Jason's 10th outing hits and misses. Kane Hodder is just brutal, though. I long for the day we get to see him back behind the mask.
  • May 15, 2009
    verry verry funny.
And still "Jason" the one and only
  • May 14, 2009
James Isaac must have been made to make this movie. Jason Voohees has been the star of so many Friday the 13th, and other spin off Camp Cristal Lake movies and none of them are anywere near as bad as this movie is. Set in the future a space crew find a body frozen in Cristle Lake...( read more). They thn rebuild Jason with bionic limbs (year great idea!). Then he decides to kill everone as normal. The acting is so so poor it was like watching Home and Away!
Friday 13th fans, and horror fans in genral should avoid this movie like the plage

This film is a joke and they know it, and that's disappointing to me. Wish they tried to make it good instead of comedy/scifi-horror. The story (not the script but the story) could've worked and worked amazingly had there been more talent and more money involved. All said this...( read more) is just utter garbage, though there are a few redeeming qualities and moments which is all the more frustrating. The first 15 minutes are fantastic but it just slides and slides till you give up on it and by the end you can't believe...

If you don't consider it an actual movie and just take it for the crappy entertainment it is then cool, but I take my Jason movies seriously and this is not what I want out of them. Come on. Ten years and this is the Jason movie they gave us? The only one I could go see in my adult life?? This is what I have to live with? Damn why did I have to miss the 80s!!? Well luckily Freddy vs Jason was right around the corner.,

  • April 9, 2009
This movie has it all. A face gets shattered, decapitation occurs and even an occasional limb falls off. Good times.
  • April 9, 2009
Allthough this film has lots of cool and fun action scenes , it also has alot of bad points. The storyline should of never been put in space and in the future, some of the acting was dreadful. It failed to be any scary and the effort put into making likeable charachters was very ...( read more)poor, overally a awful friday the 13th film.

Jason X or how to kill a franchise.

What was James Isaac thinking??? He probably said: Letīs make a new Alien type-film. Yes, Jason is alive (again) and he is more ridicuolous and chessy than ever.

    RIP Jason Voorhess.

    Jason goes high tech...Nothing special....
  • March 28, 2009
:| what a waste of time. It seems they have finally run out of ideas.
  • March 26, 2009
This wasn't that good. There wasn't much gore, the setting was stupid, and I just didn't really enjoy it. I got bored of it. It starts out well though.
  • March 11, 2009
Jason SLAUGHTERS no matter what year it is!
  • March 9, 2009
I don't see a reason for this Film but it was ok. nothing great...
  • March 2, 2009
Oh boy, this is what insomnia will reduce you to.
  • February 28, 2009
The remake of Friday the 13th can't possibly outdo this gem!
  • February 26, 2009
Up until now, the worst movie I had seen was Ace Ventura...this one takes the cake! Jason in space makes for a "horrorble" sci-fi film. The film doesn't develop its own sense of style...it's sort of a mix between Resident Evil and Star Trek - and that's in no way a compliment! ...( read more) The acting was the worst I have ever seen...of course, the actors didn't have anything to work with. I've seen better acting in porno!
  • February 23, 2009
The new film is way better than this. Jason X has Jason on a ship in outer space in the future killing once again. The result is an awful movie that even makes some of the other sequels look good.
  • February 23, 2009
I read reviews that said this was the worst Jason movie made and that it was the worst movie ever made and I have to say I don't know what they were talking about. I found Jason X to be yes a little out there for A Friday the 13th sequel but still a fun gory pleasure. The acting ...( read more)was typical for a slasher movie you get a few solid performances from the lead characters and a bunch of crap from everyone else. The gore is some of the best that I have seen in a Jason movie. You get everything here from a face being shattered, decapitations, and many many limbs falling off non stop here. The plot like I said was a little out there but still worked. And the soundtrack I have to say this is one of my favorite movie soundtracks. The only thing that I didn't like about this was the poster I do not know what they were thinking. Bottom line Jason X kept at a good pace had phenomenal gore, reasonable acting, and was very enjoyable. I say if you like the Friday the 13th series lighten up and enjoy this outrageous sequel. Worth a check.

no as scary as it seems
  • February 21, 2009
Guys, it's okay! He just wanted his machete back! It's gonna take more than a poke in the ribs to put down this old dog. Kay-Em is a lot cooler than this movie is
