Despite being wildly unclimatic ending where all conflicts are miraculously solved in a blink of an eye, the film is fun, mainly because of the charismatic characters it presents. At moments funny and touching, it maintains some great movie moments. Despite the title and the s...( read more)ubject matter, this film has little in common with the American indie hit ?Juno?.

So, that hack/striper took the Tarantino road and ripped off a less known asian movie? Color me not surprised.

It's always a pleasure to see the original version of a remake movie, and this movie gave me that pleasure... Jeni, Juno is the original version of Oscar nominated movie Juno, which is I thought all of you don't know about that... The beginning of the story is the same, the girl ...( read more)in this movie found out that she's pregnant after a one-night-stand relationship with her boyfriend... But what happen later is the difference of this two movies... In Juno, the girl (Juno) decide to keep the baby and give him to a couple of parents who wants a baby so badly... But in Jeni, Juno, the girl (Jeni) decide to tell the boy (Juno), and then this two young lovers decide to keep the baby themselves without thinking any consequences they could got or what their parents will say... Overall, watching the original version is always a pleasure, and I found that in this movie... Great movie after all!!

There is no question that the American film Juno came from this, but despite the similarity in the character name and theme of the movie, the two films are different. The differences show up in the country's culture and style of film making.

The movie wastes no time and

...( read more) immediately jumps into this story about teen pregnancy. The main focus for most of the film is on the characters of Jenny (Jeni), the girl, and Juno, the guy, and how they adapt and adjust to deal with this serious situation. The faces on the 2 as they watch the abortion video is classic. There are also points in the story that allow for flashback sequences between the 2 lovebirds. The parents are only a small part of the story until they find out what's going on, and this doesn't happen to after the halfway point.

The film itself is really playful, especially with all the upbeat music and all the variations of the catchy theme song, so this is never really boring. The fact that there are a number of seemingly unbelievable situations and an abrupt final 5-10 minutes also keeps this film a little more entertaining. I think we can thank the film style for that.

The acting itself is pretty good. Hye-sung Kim, shows a good deal of maturity as Juno and Min-ji Park puts on quite a performance as Jenny (Jeni).

This movie isn't for everyone, but fans of Juno will want to check this out and vice-versa.
