edward furlong and racheal bella, are two lovers living there life, going through the highs and lows, they love each other, and will do things for each other that really tests relationship, whats special about this is, its all shot through a hand held camera controlled by either two leads, so unlike other films of this nature, blair witch project, cloverfield, a indie drama, has been made, which is very interesting, furlong and bella are good to watch with finally some nice acting moments for furlong, showing he can actually act, story and events are done in a realistic way, and watching, you know things can turn out really bad for them
Movie makes me actually WANT to fall in love. This movie left me feeling really weird at the end. It's so intense. I don't know how to describe it, but it's awesome.
Like DIARY OF THE DEAD, JIMMY & JUDY benefits from having a relatively small budget. Edward Furlong is great as usual, William Sadler makes a creepy villain, and Rachael Bella is hot.
The acting isn't bad, but the camera work is far worse than The Blair Witch project. The plot has a few decent elements but overall it gets pretty damn silly. This is like a horrible version of Natural Born Killers. You're better off just watching NBK again instead of wasting your dough on this. If that isn't enough, well then watch Bonnie & Clyde aswell. The bottom line with this film is that the original premise is there, but as the film goes on it's over written to the point of stupidity. The self documenting camera style of the film really did nothing for it either, in fact I would say it took away from the film.
This was a good movie that I really enjoyed all the way though. I liked how they used the video camera angle throughout the movie, because it made it seem more real even if some of it was annoying because you wanted to see what was going on. Other that that this was a really good movie that you should see at least once.
I saw a film called Jimmy & Judy tonight (with a chubby Edward Furlong and a gorgeous Rachael Bella), very good film, apparently a bit of a cult classic. It's about two lovers on the run / on a crime spree, not dissimilar to Natural Born Killers (Mickey & Mallory, Jimmy & Judy, anybody) but filmed in an entirely different style. Intelligent and well-acted, the whole thing is 'filmed' by Edward Furlong's character on his camcorder, with a lot of extremely long unedited shots. While they are not technically brilliant like the long unedited shots in Children of Men (remember the 6 and 12 minute uninterrupted action scenes?) they are still impressive, and William Sadler has one hell of a speech near the end which lasts forever but he is riveting to watch (again uninterrupted). Well worth checking out if you like edgy, independent movie-making.
this movie is sick, twisted and a complit piece of trash and u know what it great. it's so massed up junk that u can't stop wtaching it's like watch a car carsh u don't want to but u have to.
think twisted teens, modern day Bonnie and Clyde. Left me with a That was F'd! up feeling. Bonnie & Clyde were romantic, Mickey & Mallory (Natural Born Killers) were justified romantic psychos, Jimmy and Judy were just another product of the Me 90's.
4 out of 5 stars for believable acting-it wasn't cheesy, just lame. I did like the cultish clan towards the end though.
Jimmy & Judy is 100 times better & more relevant than Natural Born Killers. Edward Furlong puts in an impressive preformance as Jimmy, the guy from whose keen & yet wharped perspective (Via the camera lens) we see the world. Rachel Bella is absolutely endearing and sweet as Judy. the high school outcast as well as Jimmy's muse and partner in crime. i wish we had more indie films of this stature coming out.
this movie had my intrest from when I first saw the box at my local video store. a strong actor leading a movie entirely shot with the "home video" feel, it was anything but simple. once you get onboard you are on for the whole ride!
The two leads are just so unlikable. I found myself wanting to punch some sense into their idiotic antics. The character played by William Sadler though was awesome. This movie just didn't hold my interest.
