Plot: A sixteenth century love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodha.
The best Bolly epic eh? How about the fact;
1. The war sequence sucks
2. The background score annoys the hell out of me
3. I lost all interest after the second part
4. Hrithik and heroic expressions does not go hand in hand...
Ronnie Screwvala should stick with Khabir Bhatia and do his ASTRO tv series...
Alrighty, the film industry has gone nuts..
i really cant believe i wasted two hours watching this and on tht all time, i was wishing it will end, but i ended up taking the dvd and scratching it and played catches with it.. the movie is so boring and there are so many mistakes.. so poor..
Hritik Roshan, what went wrong with him, he is supposed to be the best actor of bollywood, he sucks now.. SRK on the lead again.. he performaned so bad with his quote KHAMOSH every second..
Such a lame movie..
Hrithik is hot hot hot! Played the Mughal King with such charisma and the love story is well-defined. Heart-warming portrayal of tolerance between religions. Excellent soundtrack, with my fav bollywood song, Jashan-e-Bahaara!
This is a nice movie. It gets slightly boring after a while though, because the pace is incredibly slow. The sets and costumes are amazing but the story is a teensy bit controversial. OK, let's change that to "VERY controversial". It seems that the Royal Rajputs had this huge argument with Ashutosh Gowarikar on the movie's background.
The screenplay is pretty good. The battle scenes are very well done. But something is definitely missing. Maybe it's the stretched-out theatarical pauses or the overly extravagant jewelry, but Jodhaa Akbar isn't up to the usual Ashutosh Gowarikar standard. To sum it up in one sentence,"Achhee hai, par lambi hai!"
Es una historia de amor del siglo XVI acerca del matrimonio de alianza que dio a luz el amor verdadero entre un gran emperador, muy buena como todas las peliculas en hindu.

The movie makes you wish it was longer.. It's an amazing epic, and has none that bore you associate with period film.. It one of the movies you can watch more than once without complaint!! Two-thumbs up for Jodhaa Akbar.. Watch it..
BTW, I love Hrithik and Ash..
I love this movie. Some people said it was too long, but I dissagree. It was longer than most movies but, I wouldn't want it any shorter. By the way I love Hrithik and Aishwarya Rai.
