A very nicely portrayed love story, where Akbar (Hrithik) agrees to marry the Rajput princess Jodha (Aishwarya) to make new political alliances and to strengthen his power and clout. Hrithik and Aishwarya both did a fantastic job on the silver screen and would be rewarded by a phenomenal increase in fan base and repeat viewer ship of this movie. Bollywood has come of age in movie making and proven themselves yet again that they can produce classics with a new flavour and still keep it gripping and entertaining for 4 hours.
The best Bolly epic eh? How about the fact; 1. The war sequence sucks 2. The background score annoys the hell out of me 3. I lost all interest after the second part 4. Hrithik and heroic expressions does not go hand in hand... Ronnie Screwvala should stick with Khabir Bhatia and do his ASTRO tv series...
Hrithik is hot hot hot! Played the Mughal King with such charisma and the love story is well-defined. Heart-warming portrayal of tolerance between religions. Excellent soundtrack, with my fav bollywood song, Jashan-e-Bahaara!
This is a nice movie. It gets slightly boring after a while though, because the pace is incredibly slow. The sets and costumes are amazing but the story is a teensy bit controversial. OK, let's change that to "VERY controversial". It seems that the Royal Rajputs had this huge argument with Ashutosh Gowarikar on the movie's background.
The screenplay is pretty good. The battle scenes are very well done. But something is definitely missing. Maybe it's the stretched-out theatarical pauses or the overly extravagant jewelry, but Jodhaa Akbar isn't up to the usual Ashutosh Gowarikar standard. To sum it up in one sentence,"Achhee hai, par lambi hai!"
Es una historia de amor del siglo XVI acerca del matrimonio de alianza que dio a luz el amor verdadero entre un gran emperador, muy buena como todas las peliculas en hindu.
A wonderful movie!! i could see this movie more than once!!! i reccomed this movie to people who like to watch moives with aishwarya...such a good movie!!
Its a very nice movie. Its good to see one time. The language used and the acting was amazing of both the actors. Aishwarya Rai is looking very beautiful.
This movie, i just watched it twice! It has a very strong theme and i love the two actors in this movie!!! They are both so made for each other!!! LOVE IT!!
a great historial movie that makes u think ... Akbar was a strong modern leader in the 17th century, it is difficult to get leaders to think how he did.
Hrithik and Aishwarya- kesi jodi!
They are def. the best couple in the industry. (Hint: directors) I think Ashutosh saved my life! Best moovie on Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
This was a wonderful movie. Loved the actors , especially watched this because it has Aishwarya Rai in it :P Story got abit confusing at first, but soon enough captures the mind and the movie is rich in costumes and story.
This year's must see film is a spectacle beyond belief. Spectacular in every detail.
Bollywood's version of "Ben-Hur" and
"Cleopatra" on a grand scale. The movie iteslf is gorgeous, but it also some of the greatest battle sequences every committed to film including one that features elephants and camels(which was something right outta other movies)but this one is much more brilliant. At a running time of 242 minutes,it is the must see film of 2008. and with good reason.
Aishwaraya's(she is called Ash for short)in Bollywood's newest film is a must see as Jodha. the Rajput Princess in Jodhaa Akbar. A semi historical romance, not quite fact, not quite fiction either. A beautiful Rajput Princess and the greatest Mughal Emperor Akbar. It would be well worth the trouble simply to view the grandeur of the Moghul era and the beauty of Aishwaraya. And to all you girls out there you are going to be bowled over by Hrithik Roshan, Bollywood's hottest star, who plays the role of he Emperor Akbar.
This is the best bollywood film I've ever seen!! Perfect story, better- than- perfect casting, perfect costumes, extraordinary jewellery ( based on the Mughal period styles) and abouve all, EXCELLENT presentation! This movie is totally worth watching in the theater. Though its running time (3 hrs 45 minutes) may have quite a few people wary, trust me, it DOES NOT drag!! IN fact, I was really sad when it ended, and actually wanted it to go on for a little longer!!! I might even watch it in the theater again! If you haven't watched it, WHY ARE YOU HERE?? BOOK YOUR TICKETS NOW!!!!!!
Nothin spl on it but i liked n njoyed ,coz of winning the love of the beautiful Jodhaa n' Jodhaa Akbar traces the impressive graph of the mighty emperor and his romance with a defiant princess.
