I'm a big fan of the original Judge Dredd comics, so I was really excited about this one until I saw it. It was crap. How dare you, you bastards, did you even read 2000 AD? One star for the make-up but that?s it! Dredd-ful!
Sylvester Stallone, Diane Lane, Rob Schneider
In a dystopian future, Dredd, the most famous judge (a cop with instant field judiciary powers) is convicted for a crime he did not commit while his murderous counterpart escapes.

This could of been so good and like Batman needs a re-imagining now. There are some nice touches here, the robots, the outfits, the cannibal baddies, MegaCity effects and the clones are all good looking but the acting and violence are way way too low, Scheider is just dreadful. M...( read more)

The greatest cinematic guilty pleasures in history generally feature an 80's action hero as its primary acting talent. Sylvester Stallone is a particularly habitual purveyor of guilty pleasures. Think -

Hilariously bad. The kind of film that only the 90's could have produced. It's clear to see everybody was suffering from CGI induced orgasmic spasms. A lot of care has gone in to constructing the sets and costumes but it still feels dated and shots are cramped with the budget obv...( read more)

I haven't seen an action flick in a while and i found this one great because the dramatic scenes were hilarious. The action scenes were actually entertaining. My friend and I have an inside joke about Judge Dredd so it made it even better.

A cool sci-fi movie with a pretty good idea and a nice story. Fun to see Rob Schneider in a serious roll.

Stallone tries his best to save this crap adaptation of the 2000AD character.

I think it started so shit you just couldn't get back into it. Stallone and Schneider were actually really good and worked well together, but the story and action was so weak. It pissed me off how they kept using the word 'judge' and all the sayings that go along with it. I thoug...( read more)
Critic Reviews
Stallone survives it, but his supporting cast, also including an uninvolved Joan Chen and a tremendously intense Jurgen Prochnow, isn't well used. full review

May 30, 2008terris... You have this movie confused with "Demolition Man", Even thou they both have a Freezing/Suspended Animation type of thing going on, Sorta similiar I guess. No Wesly Snipes in this one, Just some cheeseball who probably has this film and "Fatal Instinct" at the top of his resume, And a young Diane Lane, In probably one of her first roles...

January 10, 2008Sandra Bullock, Wesley Snipes (as a brought back from death sinister villain)...and the great Stallone!! Hmmmm Wrong! What movie am I confusing this one with? Hey I know this was a video game...because I bought it for my son......

December 1, 2006Keira Knightly would've made a better Judge Dredd than Stallone who just is NOT right for this film!
