could have been good, would like a sequel (without the piece of wood in lead role)

Considering how much fun the main idea of this film is and how exciting the trailer looked, the final result does feel a bit like a let down. The characters don't have much depth to offer, the dialoges are mediocre at best and the script is full of plot holes. That being said, th...( read more)e movie is far from boring. Of course, actors like Jackson and Bell don't even have to show the smallest part of their potential, but even Christensen's performance looks a lot better than his Anakin Skywalker did. There is not nearly as much action as the previews suggested but at least the showdown makes full use of the potential of the jumping ability and the really great special effects. The ending shows that the creators hoped for a sequel or TV show, we'll have to see what happens to that. As it is it, a lot of questions remain unanswered. Still entertaining action cinema for teens, no more but also no less.

Hayden discovers he can teleport, so he robs a bank and runs away from his abusive father. Soon he meets Samuel who is out to catch and kill 'jumpers'. The special effects are great and the plot fast paced. Good cast. Teleporting is my fave superpower.

Finally got around to seeing this one, and I don't really know why I bothered. It's completely incomprehensible and mind- numbingly stupid. I'd be able to forgive those fatal flaws if the film delivered some exciting, fun, or original action sequence, but some how JUMPER fails ev...( read more)en more as an action film than it does as a story!

Not completely horrible, but I keep thinking the writer ripped off Alfred Bester's book "The Stars My Destination" Not the storyline mind you but the whole jumping , teleporting thing.

I love movies about people having powers and this one is great.

Good movie, fun. It did feel as if there were pieces of the story missing though. They left it open for another one, but it looks doubtful that will happen.

I didn't know what to expect from this movie but I enjoyed it. Haydn Christensen isn't that good in the lead role, in fact he's so dull and is overshadowed by Jamie Bell's character. It would have been nice to have some explanation about how he can 'jump' and the ending feels rus...( read more)hed. For what it's worth, Jumper is OK. Nothing special but if you have 90 mins free then you might want to check it out.

Ok, I'm a Star Wars fan so I will give anyone who has the balls to try to play a young Darth Vader a break. I've tried HARD to give Hayden Christensen a break and briefly, he made me proud with how he portrayed the fallen Anakin Skywalker in SW Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. ...( read more)He was awesome. BUT....every other role (excluding maybe Life is a House) has been crap. I was utterly unimpressed with him in this movie. The premise was ok and it had Samuel L. Jackson playing a villain. How can you go wrong there? But they manage it. Maybe it was the script. Maybe it was director Doug Liman. Maybe Hayden can't act afterall as a lot of his critics say. All I know is that this movie was not good. At all. Boring dialogue that relies too heavily on special effects and not enough substance.
