Wicked filmed, couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to be able to "jump" anywhere you wanted. I thought that Jamie Bell should of been in the film a bit more though, he just seemed to disappear near the end.
Awesome movie, I love Doug Liman movies. They have a different feel to them and you feel like you are connecting to the characters. That is how I felt when I watched The Bourne Identity.
Not as bad as I'd heard it was. Interesting concept but a bit of an empty film. You can sure tell they were planning on making a sequel at the end of this one.
What a great storyline, it was fresh and although no completed original it had potential and then it happened. They tried to make it into a movie and failed. While the special efects are awesome, they are the movie. The plot never really gets developed and it's a shame because there was definitely something to work with.
This isn't appalling and is prbably the only film with Hayden Christiansen in that I have not disliked him (however 'young' Hayden's actor - Max Theriot - should have had the whole role to himself and it was a case of casting a famous person for famous sake).
SLJackson is acting as himself again - starts to get very tiring. Jamie Bell shows there is more to him than Billy Elliot. He is great as another Jumper. The female lead - Rachel Bilson - is an obvious TV actor's break on the big screen and it's just too big for her - a forgetful performance.
There just doesn't seem to be much point to this film apart from being a warm up to another film. The relationship between Paladins and Jumpers is just brushed over -
"They don't like us!"
"Why?"
"cos they're religious fanatics and have always been like that"
"Oh ok"
I mean this simply isn't a good enough reason.
Hayden's relationship with his mother is brushed over SO cleanly that you don't fell anything for that relationship. Possibly this is being saved for the inevitable sequel - who knows.
I don't regret watching this film - but I expect MUCH more from any sequel as this should have been MUCH better.
it was a great story, but the didn?t realize that, from the beginning they really screw it up, Hayden its NOT A GOOD ACTOR!, and i really only watch this movie, because of Kristen Stewart, who only had an appearance of 5 seconds but it was worth it.
This movie was awesome. There was a lot of action in it and the effects were really well done. Hayden Christensen and Jamie Bell were excellent this movie. I recommend this movie.
Love the idea, effects were good, but the actors were lacking. Hayden Christensen was awful (as usual). Rachel Bilson was forgettable. Samuel L. Jackson - again?? The only one who stood out was Jamie Bell. He's brilliant - always.
