The film has no equal as an unabashedly frank, honest look at the true nature of young love. Both comic and poignant, it has more personality than any other film of 2007. It is completely unapologetic about its style, characters, unique wit and turn of phrase, and why not? The sc...( read more)reenplay is brilliant in placing the underlying themes of the story and carefully drawing the characters on the page, and the director and actors know just what to do with it. The cast is perfect. Without being showy or pretentious, Juno is a flawless piece of work.

I did think a lot of the dialogue was over the top, but Ellen Page's delivery was pretty awesome. I can respect that. As for the basic message of the film, it makes some excellent observations about love, commitment, and how appearances can be deceiving.

This is a pretty good ?indie?. I?d heard good, I?d heard bad about this film. I thought Ellen Page was quite irritating after a while and Michael Cera, deserved more screen time but overall, the story makes up for it and the non-Disney ending was perfect!

I put-off watching when it came out, but when I finally summoned up the stamina for it - something that took 2 years - I was totally underwhelmed by the credit's song. Its not bad. it just had heart-sink stippled all over it's stave.

Once I'd forced myself through that, however,...( read more) I began to really enjoy it. It's a great little film: positive, while keeping the story firmly on the grounds of reality and well written. I mean, I'm not sure if Jennifer Garner fell naturally into her role as a woman desparate for children, and it has its moments of cliche (the lab class being one moment), but it still a good, and thoughful comedy (which examines theme's that overlap a little with the vastly inferior Hong Kong Film 'Too Young').

Ellen Page did an excellent job portraying her character, definitely lots of potential there
Smart script and sweet soundtrack still not really worth all the hype, overall just OK!!

    Controversially, yeah, good, hell no!
Who ever thought that a movie about a teenage girl being pregnant would turn funny, and oh so touching? Well, apparently a lot of people.
I have nothing but disdain for this movie.
If Juno was so smart how did she ended up being pregnant in t...( read more)he first place? I guess she was way too busy building up her cartoon like personality, but hey, at least she was cool, right? we can never have too much "coolness"...so, why bother with some contraceptives really, I mean contraceptives are for those "uncool".
First scene: a very nonchalant Juno, drinking too much juice, is buying a pregnancy test, one imagines that being in danger of being impregnate at 16, could bring some terrifying thoughts to mind. But, is she frightened? No, of course not, because this movie has nothing to do with reality, her family is formed out of couple of weirdos, living in a world of their own.
The major problem with this movie is the main character. She's arrogant and a brat , she always has a wise crack up her sleeve, she knows all the cool bands, all the cool movies, but seems to lack the most elementary knowledge of hygiene and common sense.
The story is told in an mawkish way, that made me sick, the characters are full of it, are stupid and shallow, as is the movie, in fact is more of a mockery than a serious movie, even if it takes itself rather seriously and trivializes a serious matter.
One of the worst movie. My arguments can go on and on, but this doesn't deserve even to be mention, let alone discussed.
