Visual effects would never have broken through without this movie, which is Spielberg's best adventure since the first "Indiana Jones" movie.

Jurassic Park is probably the best 'creature feature'/'Blockbuster' since Jaws, which was obviously bought to us by the same beard. Spielberg doing what he does best with brilliant special effects that are still as good if not better than in recent films and a fantastic cast. One...( read more) of my favourite cinema experiences!

Holy shit, Sam Jackson is in this movie. Auto Erotica. Jeff's douche-ey sexiness, the children's stupidity, and the ridiculous events of JP never occurred to me in my adolescence. Although the outright awesomeness of the movie makes me love this damn movie still! Hold onto your b...( read more)utts!

A landmark film in special effects, but also a great adventure story.

Very good. It does have its rizzo moments, but overall, very good. Not to mention good special effects for its time.

This is a template for how make a great action/adventure movie. Clocking in at for what these days, a film of its' type would seem to be a modest 121 mins, it devides itseft into two solid halves. The first hour debates the science, the sociology and evolutionary issues of both c...( read more)loneing and of course, dinosaurs, whilst skillfully setting up and yet sidetracking the audience into not realising who the real villans of the movie are going to be. From the opening scene, the Velosaraptors are clearly formidable, but the film feeds on the overwelming desire from the audiance to see the T-Rex to point of destraction. And it works, allowing a still awe inspiring and musicless might I add, T-Rex sequence, and then giving the fourth act over the Rapors. This film uses every minute brilliantly, maintaining a sense of pace throughout whist not bombarding us with pointless action. I do think that this film has lost some of it's standing these days, but it's well worth redescovering.

Stephen Speilberg was able to make probably one of the most groundbreaking movies of all time using a subject that no one gets tired of hearing about, Dinosaurs. He brought back to life some of the most beautiful animals and takes your breath away. This still has some of the best...( read more) cgi effects ever done and definitely the best animatronic work. He used the darkness to his advantage and that made for some terrifying shots. I still say that he should've done more horror movies because he certainly know how to get to people. It's a great adaption of Crichton's novel, using the best material and scrapping some of the more ridiculous ideas. The characters are so lovable and fun as well as the charm they bring into the movie. It's not just an effects movie, but a great subject as well. The idea of cloning the extinct is just about one of the best topics, the what if factor is just way too interesting to pass up.

I'm a huge JP fan and felt that this most be one of the best novel-based films of all time. The screenplay is co-written by the author of the book (Michael Crichton) directed by the famous Steven Spielberg, and has an all-star cast of characters. I guarantee to anyone who hasn't seen this movie, that you will heartly enjoy this film. And If you want to get the full JP experience (or a better one) read the amazing best-selling book and learn the secrets of Jurassic Park that Steve didnt want you to know about! Not to mention the differnent story line...
