Even though Spielberg is not helming this time around, it has Spielberg's signature popcorn value.

Any excuse to watch a group of people get chased by Dinosaurs eh! JP3 is better than The Lost World but its generally because its got its tongue firmly in in its own cheek. A great B-Movie but a poor sequel.

"This Time It's Not Just A Walk In The Park!"

A decidedly odd couple with ulterior motives convince Dr. Alan Grant to go to Isla Sorna (the second InGen dinosaur lab.), resulting in an unexpected landing...and unexpected new inhabitants on the island.

Jurassic Park III delivers exactly what you would expect. The third in the series does not invent anything new, neither in effects, not in the way reptiles and humans relate. Everything is in place - some humor, some family relations syrup, some new effects well done and not too scary. Predictability is the main quality and the main defect of the movie. It is however well made and never falls in the ridicule or bad taste - this may be the effect of the adult supervision of producer Spielberg. If you know that you go to a dinosaurs movie, and do not expect anything else, you may even enjoy it.

Glad to see Sam Neill back. Along with great CG, the story is better than Lost World. A lot of fun to watch.

A simple plot, Sam Neill and lots of rampaging dinosaurs? Now I remember why the first one was eminently watchable! Joe Johnston, congratulations: you salvaged this franchise with a simple, straight-ahead movie that (despite Tea Leoni's atrocious haircut) did the original justice...( read more), and wasn't just a vanity project hoping to get by on CGI alone. William H. Macy was a great addition as well, and JP3 was good enough that I might give Volume 4 a chance (if it ever actually gets made).

If you like dinosaurs then the chances are you'll like this movie. It doesn't offer anything new from the other 2 movies. It was nice to see Sam Neill back.

OK, this was probably a sequel too far. But the effects are still top notch
