An unemployed stripper Tommy Collins (Pauly Shore) is living his parents' home to find out his parents going on a private getaway for a few months to take mobilehome with them. Tommy decides to find a place for him & his chihuahua named Peanut to stay @ luxury home.
Whatever, this movie was funny. Sure, it's stupid and Pauly Shore is as annoying as Jim Carey - but I'm proud of the fact that I like his movies - I also like Son in Law and In the Army Now... so what? What are you gonna do about it? Sue me.
Its too funny , I watch it this morning once more & each time I laugh, Its a kind of movies that make us forget our daily worries ! Its show who ironic is the systeme sometime !
I ended up watching this movie in the middle of the day when I was flicking through the channels when I was bored. I didn't see the start but saw most of the movie.
I recognised Tia Carrere in it, if I hadn't recognised her I dont think I would have remembered this movie at all.
When I was in high school I enjoyed an occasional Pauly Shore film, but this one was just a bit too samey even for me... There is most definitely such a thing as too much Pauly...
Yeah, are we really supposed to believe that the only one smart enough to notice such damning evidence is Pauly Shore? Not the lawyers, jurors, judge, or human beings? This movie isn't even up to Tia Carrera's standards, and that's just sad.
Jury Duty is on the same level as In the Army Now. It's not horrible yet it's not that good. I still enjoy watching Pauly Shore films even though most people think they are stupid. It's just a different kind of comedy that you either love or hate.
i love pauly shore. that's where 1/2 of the ratings go to. the other half goes to his smart lil dog. storyline's simple and plastic, i think it's a show to just watch shore's performance and that's it, although i don't think it's one of his best.
I actually ended up renting this a second time by mistake. When I put it in the VCR again, I started having flashbacks of horror from my first experience within the first 3 seconds.
