Justice Chadhury (Jeetrenda) has just sentenced notorious smuggler Shankar Singh to death for murder. Infuriated, Singh's brother Jai (Kapoor) and his lawyer Kailash (Khan) decide to strike back against the judge where it will hurt most - his family. After arranging a marriage between the malevolent Henchaman Gopal (Kiran) and Justice Chadhury mute daughter Laxmi, Jai's second brother is busted for smuggling by Justice Chadhury's son Inspector Ramesh. In order to lessen his brother's sentence, Jai sends Laxmi back to her father. But his plan backfires, and Justice Chadhury stands by his decision. Later, Jai discovers that Justice Chadhury has fathered a son named Ramu (Jitendra) with his lover Hema Malini. Skillfully manipulating the impressionable boy to hate his father, Jai sets back and watches as Ramu sets out to seek vengeance against his father.
