  Now considering I just now started the Justice League series on Youtube, since I kind of missed out on watching it since I was, I don't know 5 at the time it was released, so superheroes, not really my thing at the time for me. I've gotten into the series very well and I really think it is one of the best animated series, and you know the main reason I wanted to actually go and watch the series, it's all because of this movie. This movie I think has the record for superhero film I've seen the most. No lie, I watched this film 20 times in one month, and that was 3 months ago, I've watched it about 10 times since then, and you know what, it's still just as good as the first time I saw it, if not better every time I see it. This film reunites all the original actors from the original JL Series (Minus Adam Baldwin as Hal Jordan and Malcolm Mcdowell as Metallo) and each one does just as fantastic a performance as they did back in 2001 and the newer inclusions such as Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan does a fantastic job as Hal Jordan and he is definitely made for the role and Bumper Robinson does a great job as Cyborg in this movie, and while not as funny or memorable as Khary Parton as Cyborg in Teen Titans, he still makes the role his own and does a great job. All the villains working together work off each other well and they all have their own threatening ways of dealing with each of the JL, and each are very threatening, especially the leader Vandal Savage, played chillingly well by the returning Phil Morris. The film is also pretty damn violent and dark for a JL film, but I've come to accept that from DCAU and they are always phenomenal when they do these kind of things. The hardest scene to watch IMO is when Bane knocks Bruce Wayne unconcious and traps him in his fathers coffin with his dads dead body under several hundred pounds of dirt with nearly nothing to escape. So what does Wayne do? he takes a key out of his pocket and starts repeatedly punching the coffin making his hands bleed in the process. All the scenes in general of the JL being taken down are dark and a couple are even downright disturbing, Martian Manhunter being caught on fire is one example. Also the idea of how all these plots to take down the JL were all Batmans ideas but hacked by Mirror Master so Vandal Savage could take down the JL with the help of the villains, which is a brilliant idea. My only real flaw that I can really think of with this film is that some of the weaknesses you have to know the origins of some of the characters to get it, and a few of the villains you have to know the comics to get some of the things they say to the JL, but other than those small complaints, this is a near flawless film in every way. The Voice acting is just impeccable, the action is fantastic, the dark elements all clash well with the story, and the plot is very well thought out for an original idea. I recommend to anyone who is into animation, the JL show or any form of DC animation, or just a fan of action films in general, you more than likely won't be disappointed.

  Bane: When we fought before, I broke the bat. Today, I break the man.  "The end of justice." In my opinion Justice League Doom is one of the very best animated superhero movies out there. The story, the characters, the themes, everything is absorbing to say the least. We have an ultimate villain who's ideas mirror that of the "new world order." We have a Justice League in turmoil as their vulnerabilities leak to the wrong hands. There's backstabbing(in a way), there's right vs. wrong when it comes to the safety of man kind over the brotherhood of the league. There's ultimately a lot to take away from this. Much more so than your standard animated superhero film. In Justice League Doom, the Justice League is under attack by known enemies when their vulnerabilities are stolen. Batman had made files on each and every one of them in the case of one or all of them going to the wrong side or being held under mind control. Each member of the League has to deal with one of their enemies and hopefully survive to tell the tale, because there's even a more sinister plot at hand by the person who orchestrated the whole thing. Most of the time I watch one of these movies, there hits a point where I lose interest for at least a little while. During Justice League Doom though, I was completely absorbed by every detail of the film from start to finish. It was surprising. The plot was smart, entertaining, and had so much going on that it wasn't hard to stay in the film. The movie had minor problems, as all of them do, but for the most part it is one of the more complete superhero animations you could ever hope to see. I couldn't recommend this more highly to all superhero fans out there. Even if you normally don't like the animated ones, you should still give this one a shot. The film works from start to finish so well, that you almost give into the world of the superhero. It's like a really good live action super hero movie in that regard. And that's pretty damn rare.

  <i>"The members of the Justice League are among the most powerful and potentially dangerous people on the planet."</i> Vandal Savage steals confidential files Batman has compiled on the members of the Justice League, and learns all their weaknesses. <center><font size=+2 face="Century Schoolbook"><b><u>REVIEW</u></b></font></center> The premise of the story is both simple and yet intriguing - Batman has secretly devised stratagems to neutralize his fellow Justice League members in case any of them turned rogue. When his files are stolen however and used against his teammates, the League is forced to confront the fact that the architect of their near-destruction is in fact one of their own. It's a compelling story which has serious ethical dimensions to it as well (not to mention some great action and character moments). While 'Justice League Doom' is a loose adaptation, it remains faithful to the spirit of the story. The Legion of Doom was a great nod to the old Superfriends cartoons (kudos to them for including an arch-nemesis to Martian Manhunter, who normally gets left it in this particular area!). I was also glad they found a way to include Cyborg without making it seem contrived or making him feel like a token minority character. The other characterisations were all great (The Flash came across far too much like Wally West, than like Barry Allen but I guess than can be excused given that the voice actor is the one who played Wally in JLU). If there is one gripe I had, its that I felt there could have been more discussion of the ethical implications of Batman's actions among the League, but I guess that wouldn't have fit within the allotted run-time.

  The end of justice. Pretty good animated movie. I really enjoyed it and I think the voices were really good choices and well edited. Keep them coming! When Batman and the rest of the Justice League stop The Royal Flush Gang from a robbery, they find out with the help of Cyborg that the Gang has been using a technology to walk through walls, and upon interrogation, realize that its not the Gang's technology. While Cyborg starts investigating behind the technology, Batman retreats to the Batcave. Once Batman reaches there, he is forced by Alfred to rest. Once the cave is empty, Mirror Master (who had been hiding in the Batmobile) uses a LexCorp technology to hack into the Batcomputer and downloads crucial information on orders of an unknown boss. Bane goes to the Slaughter Swamp outside Gotham City where he runs into Star Sapphire, Metallo, Ma'alefa'ak and Cheetah. The group then enter the Hall of Doom, where the are welcomed by Vandal Savage, who is also accompanied by Mirror Master. Already given $10 million each to attend the meeting, Vandal Savage offers them $100 million each for killing off each member of Justice League, to which, every one accepts. He then gives them fool-proof plans on how to defeat each member. Bruce Wayne receives news from Alfred that the bodies of Thomas and Martha Wayne have been stolen. When Bruce confronts the employee who reported the incident, the employee reveals himself as Bane, and knocks-off Bruce into an empty grave. Bruce Wayne wakes up next to his father's grave, and forces his way out of the grave. In his human form, Martian Manhunter celebrates his birthday with his friends when he receives a drink from an unknown woman. She later turns out to be Ma'alefa'ak, who had poisoned the drink, which would force Martian Manhunter to reveal his true form in front of everyone as well as be flammable. Ma'alefa'ak burns Martian Manhunter, and leaves him burning. Cheetah poisons Wonder Woman with a serum which would show any person near the latter as the former. Intending on never giving up a fight, Wonder Woman also causes damage to Cyborg who eventually cures her. Barry Allen finds out about a train robbery in progress by Mirror Master. He confronts him in his Flash atire, but is tricked into having a bomb attached to his wrist, which would go off if he tries to remove it, do nothing for 50 seconds or decelerate. This leaves Flash with no choice but to keep running at his fastest speed. Green Lantern is called upon by the FBI, and is asked to capture a group terrorists, who are hiding in a salt cave, and have kidnapped 6 hostages. After defeating them all and saving the hostages, Green Lantern confronts the boss, who kills Carol Ferris (who later turns out to be someone that looked like the real Carol) before Lantern could do anything. Grieving over how he had caused Carol only pain, Hal resigns his Green Lantern persona. It turns out this was all a plot by Star Sapphire to cause Hal to doubt himself and cast fear in his heart. The whole plan was formulated by fooling Green Lantern with fear toxin, derived from Scarecrow's formula. It also turns out that the terrorists and the Carol look-a-like were all androids in order to fool Green Lantern. Clark Kent receives a call from Lois Lane, who informs him that Henry Ackerson, a former Daily Planet employee who was laid off, was about to commit suicide. When Clark, in his Superman attire, approaches Henry, the latter reveals himself as Metallo, and shoots the former with a Kryptonion bullet, leaving Superman fatally wounded. Assuming all members of the Justice League are defeated, Savage reveals his plans to kill off half of the human population with the help of a solar flare, and start over the world. As an offer to join him, Savage offers each of the members of the Legion of Doom a territory of the world, which they all accept. Once Batman is back, he finds out that all of the members of the Justice League are under attack by the plans he himself had created, and one by one saves them all, and tells them about what had happened. The Justice League confronts the Legion of Doom, overpowering everyone including Savage, but are not able to prevent the solar flare. Cyborg deduces that the Hall of Doom would survive the Flare, and the Justice League works on preventing the Earth from any damage through it. In a meeting, Superman announces that Vandal Savage has been imprisoned for life without parole. He also announces the inclusion of Cyborg as a member of the Justice League. He then announces a vote on Batman leaving or staying in the Justice League. Allowed to speak in his defense, Batman shows no regret over his motives and decides to leave the Justice League himself. Realizing that Batman is right, Superman gives Batman a Kryptonite bullet which the latter could use if Superman goes rogue as Batman leaves.

  Justice League: Doom is a smart and exciting new feature from DC Universe. The story follows a coordinated attack on the Justice League members, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, etc., by the Legion of Doom as part of clandestine attempt to seize control of the world. The film features the voice talents of Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, Nathan Fillion, and several other mainstays of animation DC Universe films. Additionally, the animation style is cutting edge and is accompanied by a strong score. However, there are some issues with the storytelling and the handling all of the characters. Still, Justice League: Doom succeeds at telling a compelling story full of adventure.

  another solid installment in the DC Animated Universe. it's yet another take that does "justice" (heh, see what I did there) to it's source material. it's also without question the most action-packed work yet. good stuff.

  Nearly wall to wall action with a much more logical and calm story than most of the DCAU , JL:D resurrects the Legion of Doom with a fresh set of villains. Sure, everything happens a bit too easily, but the plan itself on the part of the Legion is quite brilliant, all things considered. Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern gets slightly more screen time than the other heroes-perhaps owing to his name recognition-but each hero gets their own time to shine. This is a true comic brought to life. Engaging and thrilling, the only piece which needs more beef is the characterizations for the villains. But even that can be rationalized by saying "they're evil...that's all you need to know."

  As a kid, "Challenge Of The Superfriends" was always one of my favorite cartoons on Saturday mornings. All the superheroes and supervillains squaring off week after week was something to look forward to. True to current Hollywood form, the Superfriends have gotten a reboot with this newest entry in the DC Animated universe. Unfortunately, like a lot of reboots and re-imaginings, the end result leaves something to be desired. Master villain Vandal Savage recruits several super villains to take out the respectives nemses, all to serve his own master plan of wiping out half the world's population, and establishing his newly formed Legion Of Doom as rulers of what is left of humanity. Not a bad story, but the problem with it is that there is so much story to tell with all the various characters that it all feels extremely truncated. Things happen way to fast with very little explanation. Nothing feels fleshed out, and the whole affair feels very hurried. However it's that lack of exposition is the thing that makes this movie virtually wall to wall action. So anyone that is simply expecting to see the heroes go toe to toe with the villains will not be disappointed. The actors are uniformly good, which is no surprise. Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly have been providing the voices for Batman and Superman fo more than a decade. Their performances are effortless. Smallville veteran Michael Rosenbaum gets the laughs as Flash, and Nathan Fillion gets the lion's share of the dramatic work for his turn as Green Lantern. However, in the past, the DC Animated movies have almost always been able to find a great balance of action and story, never more than in last year's All-Star Superman. Like this movie, that one told and epic, multi-arc storyline, filled with action. But unlike that film, this movie struggles with it's story, while solidly delivering on the action. Not a bad animated film by any means, but a disappointing step down from the heights that DC had reached in their previous films.
