This Disney TV movie traces the origins of the Morgan saddle horse, America's first distinct breed. The story begins during the Revolutionary War, when Colonial schoolteacher Justin Morgan (Don Murray), though nearly penniless, sets about to develop a sire for horse-racing purposes.
