Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"The faithful will devour it, but everyone else will wonder why it takes a dozen band members (including a horn section), copious shots of Kenny's bulging biceps, and not one, not two, but 3-Ds to give shape to these tunes."
‑ Jerry Shriver, USA Today
"Excellent 3D and an all-out performance by the country music star should satisfy most Kenny Chesney fans."
‑ Kirk Honeycutt, Hollywood Reporter
"The numbers -- 35 million records sold; 19 number-one hits; more than one million tickets sold in each of the last eight summers -- are as staggeringly impressive, as remarkable, as the man behind them is not."
‑ Jonathan Perry, Boston Globe
"Sound is crystal-clear, and unobtrusive stereoscopic footage looks great throughout the 99-minute feature, though some weird compositional snafus scuttle the desired concert experience, and the set's lack of variety makes it a fans-only proposition."
‑ Andrew Barker, Variety
"Unapologetically dopey and undeniably ingratiating, the supersized Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D makes a surprisingly convincing argument for big, dumb likability."
‑ Tim Grierson, L.A. Weekly
"At times, the music gets a bit samey, because it's all very upbeat, without the twangy heartbreak that marked an earlier generation of country stars. Yet it's studded with juicy country-pop hooks."
‑ Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly
