MCT:April 28, 2008This movie is waaay too cheesy...
...to be be anything other than a true cult classic (kult klassic?). This movie ingrained an extreme, irrational fear of clowns into an entire generation of young, impressionable youths. Even today, the clowns are ridiculously creepy, but the movie is so campy that it's really a horror comedy. I love this movie with all of my loins.

Movies like this fascinate me. I live in a country where the movies shown in theatres are the standard Hollywood fare with a few (safe, tried and tested)art-house films thrown in. That's why when I heard this title, I was intrigued to know, what kind of a studio releases this. Who produces, directs and acts in something like this. The title makes people cringe. It's just so plain stupid and ridiculous. But that just made me want to watch it all the more and I'm glad I did. It was a very interesting journey of bad taste and creepiness. Somehow it worked. Other movies with absurd titles that I want to watch are "Teenagers from Outer Space","The brain that wouldn't die", "I spit on your grave" and many more.
